Finally in San Diego
Posted by justin_lee | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on 07-01-2010
We finally arrived in San Diego this past Tuesday afternoon, after some long days in the car. For those of you who are my friends on Facebook or follow me on Twitter, you got real time updates, but for those who missed them, here’s a quick recap:
Dreama and I left Vancouver on morning of December 31st, and made the short drive down to Seattle. We had a very quiet New Year’s Eve (in bed by 10pm), and had fun watching bowl games (and a Penn State victory) on New Year’s Day at our friends Ash & Kate’s home.
On the morning of January 2nd we left Seattle and made it to Roseburg, OR, where I had a chance to catch up with my friend Trevor Mauch.
On January 3rd, armed with Sirius Satellite Radio, I listened to NFL games as we made our way to Sacramento, CA and had a nice dinner with our good friend Dr. Farac.
The last “big” driving day was January 4th, as we made our way from Sacramento to Redondo Beach, CA and stayed over night at my mum’s place.
On January 5th we made the short 96 mile drive down I5 to Encinitas, CA and moved into our new ocean front home. It’s only temporary, (it’s a furnished rental) while we look for something else that we can actually buy.
Overall the drive wasn’t bad at all. We were worried about how a 7 month old and a 2.5 year old would do in the car, but as Dreama blogged, we were prepared, and it wasn’t that bad at all (especially considering we did NOT break down and buy a DVD player for Stella).
We’re still getting settled into our new place (the Directv guy is here as I type this) but we are looking forward to beach living in “North County” San Diego. We’re technically in Luecadia, a cool little beach town, which is technically part of the city of Encinitas, 30 miles North of San Diego. It’s got a cool hippy, yoga, surfer vibe to it, based on my limited observations thus far.
I’m excited to see what real estate investing opportunities are here, in short sales, REOs, free & clears and loan modifications. I’ll have some exciting things that we’re working on getting teed up for you in the near future, because there will be more foreclosures than ever before in 2010. You just need the right partners and system to cash in on them.
Also, if you’re local to the area, I’d love to know more about the deals that you’re doing (or trying to do), and seeing how we can possibly work together. I have already received emails and Facebook messages from many people who want to do deals in 2010 here, and I am excited about the opportunities that SoCal presents.
So if you’re local leave a comment, friend me or message me on Facebook, or drop me an email, and let me know how we can work together, I’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to a great 2010 for everyone who reads my blog. Let’s make it your best year ever!
Oh yes, one final note. There’s something very cool coming for real estate investors that is going to help your business in 2010. I’ll have an email about it tomorrow, but for now, check out this link.
